Membership

The Wimbledon Greyhound Owners Association is open for membership from any person(s) wishing to join who currently owns a greyhound attached to Wimbledon Stadium. The cost of annual membership is £15 per person. If a person joins, then all of his/her greyhounds are considered to be joined, however, if a greyhound is owned by more than one person, then two owners must join in order for their dogs to be considered as joined. If a greyhound is owned by a syndicate, then the cost is £30 for the whole syndicate and all of its greyhounds. To view the full rules of the WGOA, please click here

Why Join the WGOA?

Every month, the WGOA sponsors a meeting at Wimbledon Stadium, where, if the greyhound is owned by a member of the WGOA, it will receive a special trophy if it wins. Furthermore, at each sponsored meeting, there will be one race selected at random where a bonus £150 prize money will be made available to the winner. In addition, every greyhound, owned by a WGOA member, that completes 100 races will receive a commemerative trophy, and each month, a trophy is awarded to the dog and bitch of the month. This is calculated on a points system based on a greyhound's placings throughout the month.

How do I Join?

Click Here to open a membership form. If there is an advertisement at the top of the form, please highlight everything else, and click file, print, and then 'Selection'. Click print and the form will print perfectly. Alternatively you can pick up a membership from the Racing Office on your next visit to the stadium, or speak to any committee member on the next W.G.O.A. sponsored meeting.
